I started with 2 little houses and then added floors, a little bit of green and blue for the sky. The only detail I always had in mind was to include a house with an antenna.
This phenomenon is characteristic of many densely populated Latin American cities with very limited space because they are surrounded by mountains.
Hundreds of little houses adorn the hills of Caracas, defying laws and building codes. Houses are built anywhere and floors are added as families grow. Once night falls, it looks like a huge Christmas nativity scene.
